I have about 4 blog post that are not quite done and I really feel your pain. I am reading your blog and I should be working on mine. Oh by the way I am my own boss too at FreeADad.com (yes I’m a Dad not a mom.

Totally empathize. I started blogging back in ‘02, and through the years I’ve gone through at least 2 serious dryspells because of blogging guilt. I would do the whole “I haven’t written anything personal/serious/long in awhile, so if I just post this funny meme it’ll make me look shallow, etc” thing, and would wind up not posting at all. So when I resurrected my blog, got a new domain, and generally started fresh a few months ago, I decided to approach it more like a tumblelog. Crafting a mission statement really helped me, too… I was able to articulate the “why” and “how” of my blog for myself, and once that was out there for the public to see, it was easier to follow through.

Being my own Boss is always harder, Its always depends upon once own motivation. Self motivation is important.

Being my own boss has been harder than I thought. It can be difficult to stay motivated. I try to take baby steps. Accomplishing two work projects a day is often my goal. With three kids that can be hard- even if they are 5 minute projects. But I go to bed at night knowing I got something done at least. Then, on days I do feel motivated I can pick up the slack from the other days. It always balances out. Maybe changing your routine or place you write might help? You’ve got an awesome blog- very talented!

Hey there, glad to have found this blog tonight. My name is Ellen, and I’m a webaholic. Acceptance is the first step, I believe. I started blogging last week (although I’ve been working on other people’s blogs for the last couple of years, I’m an editor at a magazine and had to hold some people’s hands). Since I’ve started blogging, I am finding it impossible to go to sleep at night. I’ve gotten sucked into dozens of blogs, Twitter, Twittermoms, etc. I may need an intervention, soon, but for now let me just say I admire your voice and great sense of humor, and it looks like this blog is kicking butt!
